Have an older first generation IQ Panel?
Unfortunately the original IQ Panel is a 3G cellular panel that can no longer be reactivated with Alarm.com dealers after June 2019. You can however easily just swap out the main control panel with a new IQ 4 or IQ Hub unit and reuse all of your existing 319.5Mhz wireless sensors. Qolsys Alarm Monitoring Service Requirements
Installer Code
You will need to know your panel’s Installer Code because without it no dealer can sign you up for new monitoring service. This code is used to get into the programming fields necessary to modify the central station account number, and telephone numbers for example. In many cases we can remotely program the panel for service setup but we’ll need the Installer Code to make any changes.
The default Installer Code for Qolsys panels is 1111.
If your Installer Code has been changed or forgotten you are unfortunately locked out of your panel and we cannot provide monitoring. In this case you should check with the last dealer to get your Installer Code. If they monitored your IQ panel they know the Installer Code.
LTE Cellular Communicator
If using an existing cellular communicator with our central station only 4G or 5G LTE cellular models can be registered with carriers today. Existing Verizon 3G (CDMA) or AT&T 3G (GSM) communicators can no longer be reregistered with cellular carriers. If currently activated these older communicators or panels such as the original IQ Panel I will continue to work until the 3G networks begin their shutdown in 2021 but they cannot be reregistered with a new security dealer after June 2019. Once deactivated even the original dealer cannot reactivate a 3G communicator.

This is definitely a one-stop shop for Qolsys parts and equipment as well as really low Alarm.com pricing. Bought my Qolsys IQ Panel 4 here as well as their Alarm.com Gold plan which with the additional features over what I had with Brinks was still half the price!
Was struggling to update the firmware on my original 2GIG GC2 so I could use an LTE cell card but decided to just replace the system with the Qolsys IQ Hub 345Mhz model instead. Was very easy to migrate and the tech support at Vanguard was GREAT! Highly recommend upgrading an older panel with a Qolsys model. I looked at the IQ 4 too but didnt need PowerG wireless so better to save $100 going with the IQ Hub.

I bought my Qolsys IQ Panel 2+ as an upgrade to my “former” ADT panel which had me locked in to using their service. The Qolsys system is a huge advance to what ADT installed five years ago and of course monitoring is $25 per month lower which adds up fast. Very happy with the Alarm.com app for controlling the panel. Easy to use and intuitive. The only downside I had discovered with Alarm.com is the inability to bypass zones individually. I read that feature was in the works but not yet available in their app.
I upgraded from an DSC Impassa using ADT to the Qolsys panel and love it. The Alarm.com app is easy to use and very close to what I used with ADT but a third of the price which is amazing. The tech support getting me setup was good and highly appreciated. The IQ Remote is pricey but really nice. I’m using two partitions (House and Garage) and I can easily control both partitions using the Alarm.com app. Very nice.
Bought my Qolsys panel on Amazon but when searching for decent pricing for alarm monitoring came across these people. Their Alarm.com plans are affordable as advertised and I received a monitoring certificate right after the panel was activated for my insurance guy. Definitely quick and easy setup.
