Honeywell 943WG-WH-M Mini Surface Mount Magnet

Add-on magnet (second magnet) for Honeywell 943WG-WH Mini Surface Mount Contact.  Comes in White only.  Magnet Only!

One trick when using any surface mount contact on a window is to use a second magnet to provide “venting” on those cool breezy days or evenings. Basically you place the reed relay portion 4″ up from the sill and mounted to the window frame.  The first magnet is attached to the window sash 4″ up to align with the reed relay when the window is closed.  The second magnet is mounted at the bottom of the sash and when the window is raised 4″ to allow air into the room the second magnet aligns with the reed relay and prevents the alarm panel from thinking the window is open.  Of course if the window is raised further (or closed) an alarm will occur if ARMED.  These additional magnets can also be used with wireless transmitters such as the 5816WMWH when the transmitter is mounted 4″ up the frame.
